Madara Organic Micellar Water

Micellar water has been a favourite of make up artists as a cleanser for as long as I can remember. Way before it was widely available we all used to get friends and family to purchase big 25oml bottles in bulk whenever they went on a trip to Paris, France. Being the gentle option it was always the number one choice for a quick cleanse so the models could walk out the door at the end of the day without spending another 10 minutes removing make up. Harsh baby wipes never an option!

Today we are so much more aware of good ingredients and what gentle cleansing should be. The Madara Micellar Water came in my LoveLula beauty box which was a lovely surprise since it is an essential part of my kit. This little bottle contains skin protecting hyaluronic acid to soften and hydrate as well as skin soothing and toning aloe vera juice and antioxidant rich peony root extract. It is more expensive than the usual suspects with higher quality ingredients at £14.00 for 100ml but it will last you a long time, your skin is definitely worth it! There are other organic micellar water products available at lower prices but let’s see how this one goes…

I like the size of this bottle which is perfect for travel, the lid is one of those push down button types which is great for one handed multi tasking situations. Just like other micellar waters this will take about two cotton rounds (both sides) to clean your face but thankfully minus the added chemicals. Removing waterproof mascara as expected is still a chore, try massaging coconut oil on the lash area as a natural alternative and then clean up with the micellar drenched cotton round.

This cleanser is great for a clean on the go or after a late night  but I would always recommend washing your face with water above rubbing at it with cotton rounds each night.
